When a child is kidnapped or goes missing, the entire country has a way of coming together to help bring them home safely. As Canadians, we tend to stick together and have had quite a bit of success when it comes to solving these types of crimes.
TL;DR The SQ are still searching for two men that are on the run after abducting a 12-year-old girl in Sutton earlier this week. The girl was able to escape unharmed after the men left her at an empty home. As of this morning the SQ has released a photo of an "important witness" that they need help locating for questioning.
That's why Quebec's help is needed in solving a crime involving two men who are still on the loose after kidnapping a 12-year-old girl.
It was yesterday that the child was kidnapped by the men in Sutton, Quebec. It's said that the men wanted a ransom from the girl's banker father, using the child as bait to recieve a deal.
Thankfully the girl was able to outsmart the men. After she was abducted while on her way to school, the suspects dropped her off at an empty house and left her there alone. She was able to escape the house and return to her family physically unharmed.
Unfortunately the two men are still at large. A photo of an "important witness" of the event has been released by Sûreté du Québec in hopes that it will aid in locating him.
One of the suspects was described as speaking French, while the other only spoke English. They were said to be driving a Ford Econoline van during the time of the abduction.
There has been a major breakthrough with the case this morning, as an "important witness" (photo above) to the crime was seen yesterday morning at a Tim Hortons in Lac-Brome, Quebec. The individual is described as white, dressed in mostly black apart from a white shirt and white shoes.
Authorities are asking anyone with information about the witness in the photo to call the SQ immediately, you may be able to help in the capture of the two men still on the run.
