Quebec Ranked #1 In Canada For "Calling In Sick" To Work

Quebecers have just earned themselves a new record. Although we may not want to brag too much about this one.
According to Stats Canada people who live in Quebec miss more work and take more sick days than in any other province in Canada.

So what's to blame?
Are we just lazy? Is our "joie de vivre" stopping us from working too hard?
Well according to researchers they think our workplaces themselves are the cause. They say our work is more stressful, our bosses are more demanding, and our workplaces offer a poor quality of life.
The research also showed that women skip work far more often than men. They take an extra 4 days off a year on average.
