Quebec’s Insanely Beautiful “Emerald” River You Need To Visit Once In Your Life

Montrealers have a strong desire to seek out tropical destinations. Perhaps it's because we're sick and tired of winter or maybe it's because we live on a Island, yet we have very limited water access.
But, the thing is, you don't need to travel too far to find some tropical destinations. Remember, you live in Quebec. A ginormous province inside a gargantuan country. We have everything here.
Including this majestic AF emerald-blue river located in the Gaspé Peninsula
The river was originally named by the Mi'kmaq who called it "Wagamet" which literally translates to "Clear Water". And if you take a closer look you can see the water is so clear, it looks like the canoes are flying above the river.
The lake is an awesome spot for fishing, especially for Salmon. There's also a special fishing camp and of course, boating, canoeing, kayaking and everything else you can think of.
