Trust me, this is 514% a road trip you want to take this summer 2017 with your friends! It's legit 2 hours away from Montreal and located in the Gatineau region of Quebec. It's called the Gatineau Hot Air Balloon Festival and it's and event you do not want to miss!
Oh, and these aren't your ordinary balloons... they are high-quality, safe, and they come in a variety of colors, designs, and themes! Plus, this year the festival is going to be larger than life considering that it is the 30th edition!
I actually attended the festival last year with my BFF and I honestly had an AMAZING time! The drive was very quick and there aren't just hot air balloons... They have an amusement park, food stands, live music, games, and even a graffiti contest!

This year, the Gatineau Hot Air Balloon Festival will be held from August 31 to September 4, 2017 and prices range from $60 - $100. The program will include more than 300 shows, flights and multicolored and special shape hot air balloons lit up for night flights, a Strength Athletes Championship, an amusement park, an impressive fireworks display, a classic car exhibit, buskers, a craft market, a big top with 1001 hidden treasures, etc.
