The "Relationship School" Montreal Didn’t Know It Needed
After writing "Montrealers Don't Know How To Date Anymore And It's F*cking Ridiculous" I got an incredible amount of emails from our readers. People from all over the world took their time to send me their stories and feedback. I couldn't help but think that something NEEDS to be done here. After all, there are so many of us who are unsatisfied with the current state of the dating world.
What's interesting is that I got messages from both men AND women, even though I was writing from a female perspective. Here are just some of the responses I got:
"I want to let you know you aren't the only one who feels it need to stop. There are many factors and reasons why dating started to lose its value in Montreal."
I must say, your article made me feel a whole lot better about my situation because frankly, I know I'm not alone, nor am I some sort of dog whistle to incompetent, lazy men."
"Hey! I loved your blog about dating in Montreal, as I was reading it more and more I got lost in it. I thought I wrote it because of how accurate it was!"
"Well, was I ever so happy to read your piece on "Montrealers don't know how to date anymore" I was honestly starting to believe that there must be something wrong with me."
"Hi Irina, great blog, and yes, absolutely true. But if you think it's ridiculous for the straight community, imagine how impossible dating is in the gay community!"
"Number one thank you for making me see that I am not the only person that believes Montreal dating is in an awful state. My experience in recent years trying to find a steady relationship has proven difficult to say the least."
I have so many more interesting and personal emails. Thank you to everyone who took their precious time and sent a little something my way.
Now, what can we do about this problem that so many of us seem to agree on? Just like in any other aspect of life, there should be dating rules. Right? Where do you learn these rules? At a dating school or at least at a mandatory relationship class. Why is this still not part of a standard high school or college program? Can someone please make this happen? Anyone? Justin Trudeau? It's far more important than knowing what vectors are or whatever.
So I took the initiative into my own hands today and created the ultimate Dating & Relationships class. Here's what the syllabus looks like: Dating and Relationships Classes
