A little floating party with a DJ, drinks and a slide.
It's not as expensive as you might think to spend the day in a double-decker pontoon boat with a slide near Montreal. Just gather a group of 11 friends and cruise the Richelieu River in good company — sun in the sky, cocktail in hand, DJ onboard.
O'Quai Richelieu operates out of Marina St-Tropez in Saint-Blaise-sur-Richelieu — just under an hour from Montreal. The company rents pontoons for up to 12 people, and if you do the math, it works out to $50 or $67 per person depending on whether you go during the week or on the weekend.
The price for a four-hour water getaway is $600 during the week and $800 on the weekend. These packages include a DJ to host the party, the boat driver, a barbecue and gas. You can bring your own food and drinks — and yes, alcoholic beverages are allowed.
There are two time-slots available on the pontoon, so you and your gang can have it from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. or from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.
A spokesperson told MTL Blog that weekends are fully booked for the season, but there's still availability on weekdays. O'Quai is also already starting to take reservations for 2022.
O'Quai also rents Sea-Doos and jetskis if that's more your vibe. You can get a two-person model for $115 for an hour, or $57.50 per person.
To book and find out end-of-summer availability, just contact O'Quai via their Facebook page, by phone at (450) 570-1021 or by email at email@example.com.
