Shooting In Downtown Toronto During Raptors Championship Parade

The Toronto Police have alerted the public to a shootingin the downtown during Raptors championship parade celebrations. Millions of people have packed into the city for the event.
The shooting occurred in the crowded Nathan Phillips Square (in front of Toronto City Hall), which had quickly reached capacity earlier in the day.
Toronto officials had attempted to steer people away from the crowded square.

The Toronto Police OPS Twitter account states that there are reports of one woman injuredand crowds running from the scene after the shooting.
UPDATE: 2 people are seriously injured and 2 people are in custody, according to the Toronto Police. Firearms have also been seized.

Police and emergency medical services are on the scene.
Videos posted to social media show a stampede following the sound of gunfire. Crowds ran out of Nathan Phillips Square.
