One of the most common questions women have when they start seeing someone new is "Am I his girlfriend?" a.k.a. whether or not he's serious about his intentions. Sometimes, nothing is explicitly said, so we break our heads trying to figure out where we stand and what's the status of the relationship. Have no fear though, after surveying a few Montreal guys, I've gathered enough info to compile a whole post about his "signs" of having serious intentions towards you.
Playing "hot and cold" is not part of his behaviour pattern. Your Prince Charming doesn't disappear on you... and you never have to worry that he might not call you back after a date. You just know he will.
He gets a little shy around you
At least in the beginning. If he's 100% confident and cocky, it might not be the best thing unfortunately. When a man is genuinely interested in you, he gets shy at times.
He makes plans and actually sticks to them
Making plans is one thing, but sticking to them is a whole different ball game. If a man has serious intentions, he becomes reliable. Bailing and flaking is not an option. Also, he will not shy away from making future plans with you, like vacations together for example.
He makes you feel special
He goes out of his way to show you how special you are to him. He thinks of creative date ideas, sends you cute text messages, surprises you... he wants you to know that you're always on his mind.
He opens up to you
He's comfortable enough around you to be able to open up and share his deepest secrets, insecurities, dreams and all things personal.
He introduces you to his friends and family
He actually WANTS you to meet his friends and family. Bonus points if they tell you how head over heels he is for you.
He's not afraid of PDA
Showing a little affection in public doesn't bother him. It's actually the opposite, he wants to hold your hand and show everyone that the two of you are together.
He drops the "L" bomb
He tells you that he loves you first.
He keeps in touch
Your man constantly calls, texts and wants to see you. When one person is attracted to another person, the thought of not having any contact with one another seems unnatural.
He takes you on real dates
If your dates consist of hooking up after 10pm, then it's shouldn't really be considered a legit relationship. When a man has serious intentions, he makes a point of seeing you during the day and taking you out on actual dates.
He doesn't mind talking about where the relationship is going
"Relationship talk" doesn't make him uncomfortable. He has no problem with discussing where the two of you are standing.
He cares about the little things
He wants to know if your tires have enough air or if you're dressed warm enough for the cold winter days. It's really the little things that count.
