I already know what you're thinking: "omg, MTL Blog is posting about bacon and Sriracha again?" Well damn skippy we are, because this isn't just bacon wrapped something, or Sriracha-flavoured whatever, this is a joining of the two indulgent giants, this is Sriracha Bacon, from How I Pinch A Penny.
How we haven't posted about some form of Bacon Sriracha recipe yet is beyond me, but here it is, and it was well worth the wait. Smokey, spicy, with a little added sweetness, Sriracha Bacon has brought breakfast and brunch to a whole new level in my mind, not to mention my mental repertoire of movie snacks.
To make 'em, all you really need is thick cut bacon, Sriracha, brown sugar, and just a tad of water. See the full recipe breakdown here, and check out a simplified photo guide below.
Assemble your ingredients
Lay your bacon out on a cookie sheet with a wire rack
Mix brown sugar (1 cup) + Sriracha (4 tbs) + water (1 tsp)
Slather it on one side of the bacon and bake at 400 degrees for 13 minutes
Take out, let sit for a hot minute (for coating to stick) then flip 'dem bad boys
Bake for another 13 minutes
