With regions of Quebec in partial lockdown, it's shaping up to be an uneventful October. It's understandable that containing the spread of COVID-19 is a priority over Halloween, but it's still sad to watch Montreal's spooky season pass us by without proper recognition.

Luckily, Montreal is 378 years old (founded in 1642) meaning it has a plethora of old churches, cemeteries, gothic architecture and creepy hotels.

Well everyone, fall is officially only 3 days away!! You know what that means right? It's almost time to pull out our oversized sweaters and scarves, grab our pumpkin spice lattes and go out admiring all the beautiful leaves that are about to envelope our city skyline.

Every girl knows that when they go clubbing, especially in Montreal, you are going to meet a few guys that you could have gone not seeing that night or ever again in your life. This is usually a small portion of men in Montreal since a MAJORITY of guys are pretty nice and respectful.

Here's an idea that would have seemed a lot weirder a year ago.

A Montreal man on craigslist is offering $100 for your used panties. Sure it's creepy as fuck, but ever since the last season of Orange is the New Black, people have been desensitized to the idea. That's because the entire plot revolves around inmates selling their used panties for money on the internet.

A video review inspired by our article on Montreal's newest cuddling service, has surfaced online and it confirms our suspicions – cuddling with a stranger can get awkward. While a brief interview with the founder of this service and self-titled “Guru Cuddler”, Mirza, attempts to prepare us for the sophistication behind the experience, we get to see firsthand how this service goes down - and it's pretty (in)tense.

The service begins (at 2:13) with female cuddler, Adnana, asking male host, Stephen, “do you want to cuddle standing up?” Making us all wonder, “isn't that just a hug?”

In 2013, the Journal de Montreal wrote a story about deadly caterpillars invading Montreal. The story claimed that these dangerous creatures were sneaking their way into Quebec by hiding in our luggage. Seems like a legitimate explanation until you realize that if that was a thing, then it wouldn't just be caterpillars hitching a ride in your suitcase and we'd already be swarmed with deadly insects from around the world.

The article quotes an allergy expert present in "different hospitals" named Anita Lee. But when we tried to find information about her, we realize she's either the most secretive expert in the world, or this interview was the only work she's ever done.

There is a Tumblr blog called Fuck No, Montreal that is notorious for finding unusual people and places around the city. On Friday (April 25th) they posted an ad for the worst apartment in Montreal. They weren't kidding, but "worst" isn't the right word to describe this seemingly abandoned, nightmarish, piece of shit apartment.

Yes it's in terrible shape; the paint is peeling, the walls are literally crumbling, there are holes everywhere including the ceiling, but the most disturbing part is that someone actually lives there. You can tell by all those neatly organized products and appliances surrounding the kitchen sink, which we can only assume is also the bathroom sink, and the shower ... and the toilet.

Montreal is a great place to live and easy to get around, thanks to our beloved metro lines. HOWEVER, as great and wonderful as the metro may be there are definitely some qualms people may have with riding through town. I have had my fair share of odd encounters but the following have exceeded all levels of weirdness I can ever begin to express. Come with me as we take a journey from one side of town to the other in hopes of not being murdered or pleasured in the middle of any metro stations.

After spending hours paroling Craigslist Montreal for odd job posts, there aren't many things that surprise us anymore. That is until we came across a man offering a 50" Samsung TV to the first girl willing to go to his house and strip for him. It seems that the job poster just bought the TV, but his friend bought a bigger curved TV and now he's jealous.
