Montreal is a booming city, especially for coyotes.

The population of wild coyotes has increased quite a bit recently, leading to more sighting and altercations with Montrealers, and it’s become an official “city problem.”

This week's weather has been confusing to say the least.

In the span of only 3 days we've seen temparatures fluctuate by 20°C

Imagine you're strolling down the street heading home when you walk by an alley. You hear a noise so you turn your head and you see some something moving around on the ground. It's probably a cat or maybe a raccoon or something. NOPE - it's a fucking alligator!

Not exactly what you were expecting, but that's exactly what happened to a resident of Tétreaultville in the borough of Mercier-Hochelaga-Maisonneuve on Tuesday night. The man immediately called the police and said he saw a large reptile in an alley near Ontario street.

Montrealers are rejoicing this morning after finding out that you can buy a device which will allow you to reload your opus cards from home . It's no wonder people are happy, reloading a card can be a nightmare. No more running to the nearest station in a panic and no more waiting in seemingly endless lines. Sounds pretty good right? Or does it? Well as it turns out, you have voiced your concerns and it's worth exploring the value of this new "convenience".

Bigger companies are at risk, so why not the STM? When Starbucks rolled out their app that let's you check out with your phone, it was quickly hacked by criminals . And they didn't just steal users' Starbucks money, they used the app to infiltrate users' PayPal and drained their entire bank accounts.

Driving in Montreal offers a unique set of challenges. In addition to the usual task of not crashing into other cars, you get the added bonus of having to keep an eye out for pedestrians, cyclists, squeegee kids standing in the middle of traffic and of course, pot-holes. Those are all to be expected, but when did buses become part of the problem?

Being stuck behind  a bus is the worst. You can't see ahead of you, you have no idea if the light turned green and the bus isn't moving because it's letting people on and off or if it's just sitting there parked while the driver grabs a coffee. Plus, don't ever try to pull around the bus, because for some reason they always decide to start driving again just as you start to go. Now that may be annoying but it's no one's fault really.

Driving in this city is hazardous enough as it is, what with the potholes, the crumbling bridges, the lack of bike lanes, etc., but rarely do you expect a scene straight out of Final Destination to actually happen to you in real life. Well that's exactly what this Montrealer experienced today (June 16) around lunchtime.

Headed south on Decarie, just near the Jean Talon exit, Christine Nadon was minding her own business, when she had a very close call with a 2-foot steel rod that came shooting through her windshield. Miraculously, Christine was not injured. Watch the video to hear the full story.

A couple was having quite the argument in their car last night, the stereotypical kind you normally see in bad movies that go straight to DVD. I assume the woman started yelling: "pull over and let me out of the car!" Only problem was they were in traffic on Decarie. But that didn't stop the determined woman from opening the door while they were still moving. And when the car did finally stop, the woman casually steps out of the car and strolls along the side of the road like it's any other Sunday. Meanwhile, the white knight filming kindly offers the woman some wise words of advice: "Hey, you can't walk on the highway!" Good thing he was there to relay that valuable information.

Not sure if the woman really got the message, but maybe she should consider storming out of a moving car a little better next time. You know, safety first and what not.

Everyone likes to win the prize when they enter a contest. However, what if the prize was a visit to the underside of Montreal’s busiest bridge, which is to be demolished after 2020 because it’s crumbling! Would you still enter the contest?
