A party was held in Montreal on September 11, and this one went straight to the dogs.

The event, called "Le Happy Corgi Party," was hosted by YATAI MTL as part of the city's first Shoni Market, a celebration of Asian cuisine that offered Montrealers samples of delicious street fare from about 30 different kiosks.

Canada geese are creating piles of trouble in Montreal's LaSalle borough so authorities are using dogs and remote-controlled devices to compel them to fly elsewhere.

Gabriel Chevrefils, LaSalle's division chief of Permits and Inspection, told Narcity the birds have become a public nuisance, threatening the city's playgrounds, lawns, golf courses and waterways with their poop.

If you haven’t heard of it, Chung Chun is a Korean street food restaurant specializing in rice hot dogs. They’re wrapped in fermented sticky rice dough, which makes them “chewy and crispy,” according to a company spokesperson.

Twenty newly rescued dogs are making their way to the Montreal area via South Korea, where they were rescued from an illegal dog meat farm.

Thanks to LIFE, a Korean animal welfare group, and the Humane Society, they are set to arrive at an emergency shelter near Montreal in the coming weeks and are expected to be up for adoption once they're rehabilitated.

In early November, MTL Blog reported that two groups of rescued dogs would be making their way to Montreal via South Korean dog meat farms. 

While the first group arrived on October 29, the second group just got to an emergency shelter near Montreal, according to a tweet by Humane Society International/Canada, which is accompanied by a few photos of the precious pups.
