Canada is truly a majestic country. We're home to 20% of the entire world's supply of fresh water and we have more lakes than all other countries combined, 31% of our land mass is made up of forests, and we have the longest coastline of any country in the world.
These are some pretty impressive feats, and that's only to name a few. The beauty, natural environments and diverse ecosystems that make up this amazing country is something that we should all be proud of. So, if you want to get out there and see everything this miraculous country has to offer, these are the places you definitely shouldn't miss!

Alright, who here loves adventure? Everybody? Great! Because, legit, there is nothing more adventurous than backpacking. There's something super freeing about going wherver you like with nothing but a backpack full of your belongings.
Some people think that, in order to get the most out of their backpacking experience, they've got to get out of Canada. The truth, though? Canada's got tons of gorgeous backpacking trails - so you can go ahead and get your adventure on, right in your backyard.
This is quite possibly the most popular backpacking trail in Canada - and it just proves that there's nothing wrong with following the hype, because this 75 KM long trail offers nothing but beautiful views and good times.
Otherwise known as the Fundy Footpath, this spot spans roughly 50 KMs near New Brunswick's Salmon River. Sure, it's a little bit smaller than BC'S West Coast Trail, but size doesn't matter here. This trail is seriously fun, and offers up a view that is like nothing you've ever seen.
Newfoundland's Gros Morne National Park makes this list because, honestly, there are so many backpacking treks to follow that it's hard to decide on just one. This whole park is like a haven for backpackers, basically, with rugged trails, amazing sights, and one legit promise of adventure.
Have you ever been super down to explore Ontario? Well, the Bruce Trail gives you that exact opportunity. It's super huge, spanning about 900 KMs, and touching a whole bunch of Ontario cities, like Niagara and Hamilton. Oh, and you can also creep the Niagara Falls by ways of this trail - just to name one of the many fantastic things your eyes will behold backpacking through the Bruce Trail.
The majority of the places on this last have been for people who are down to do the camping sort of backpacking, but if you're more into chilling at hostels, then a trek up to Lake Louise might just be for you. Other than being one seriously gorgeous spot, and located in mind-blowing Banff National Park, Lake Louise is pretty much a backpacker's paradise due to its proximity to hostels, hotels, and restaurants, and its multitudes of backpacking/hiking trails, available for a variety of skill levels.
This spot is quite possibly one of the most diverse treks on this list. It spans from Canada's Yukon to Alaska in the United States, and the trail is incredibly varied. You've got gorgeous lakes, you've got forests, you've got mountains, you've got campsites - and everything in between. Although it's a legit fun trail to take on, just make sure you're experienced, as it can be kind of a tough one to handle.
Quebec's Mont Megantic National Park boasts a wide array of awesome activities for you to do, but the most fun? Their backpacking trails. They've got a handful of them, some of which are especially suited to backpackers due to the fact that there are special areas to set up overnight - including little huts (!!).
Although this is one of the shortest trails on this list, spanning just under 3 KMs, it's also easily one of the most delightful. Not only does this trail lead you to an up-close-and-personal view of BC's beyond beautiful Tonquin Beach, but a gorgeous lookout also offers up unparalleled sights of Vancouver Island.
Located in Ontario's Algonquin Provincial Park, the Highland Backpacking Trail is highkey jaw-dropping. Unlike the Tonquin Trail, this backpacking trek is not along the coast of an ocean - but that doesn't matter. It offers unimaginable views of the beautiful Algonquin Provincial Park... but don't let that fool you, this trail is not for beginners.
