This morning I woke up feeling completely fucked up. I almost didn't make it to the office. I feel drained, nauseous, annoyed and to top it all off, I have a lingering headache.

When I got to work, I noticed that a lot of my workers looked like shit as well, but I didn't mention it to them because I'm not an asshole.Â
I decided to blame the obvious culprit: The horrible weather. And it turns out I was right here are 5 way the weather's been making you feel like shit.Â
1. The Weather:
The weather can have a strong impact on our bodies and on how we feel. Right now it may now be cold, but the humidex is at 80%! And high humidity tends to cause poor concentration, fatigue and sleepiness.
2. The Season Change:
Only 2% of people suffer from seasonal affective disorder, but up to 10% can suffer from a milder form of SAD called the winter blues. It's mostly caused by the fact that the days are getting shorter, which is messing with your body's internal clock. This makes you feel groggy, disoriented and it can also mess with your mood and appetite.
3. Brain Chemistry:
Since the sun doesn't rise as early as it normally does, it's beginning to confuse your brain. The brain produces melatonin to help you stay asleep which is normally interrupted when the sun goes up. So now your body is producing way too much melatonin which is why you don't feel alert in the morning.
4. Air ConditioningÂ
Even though it isn't hot out, a lot of places are still running air condioners and Research shows that people who work or live in over air-conditioned environments are more prone to illnesses, fatigue and chronic headaches and breathing problems, including a potentially fatal infectious pneumonia.
5. Lack of Sunlight
Reduced sunlight lowers your body’s serotonin production, which helps regulate your mood. It can also mess with your sleep, your appetite, your sex life and even your memory.
Luckily there are a few things you can do to help alleviate your symptoms:
Soak up as much natural sunlight as you can during the day. (thast probably won't work today)
Try to exercise more.
And whenever possible, eat better.
