Why you're going:Â Another great act in conjunction with Motnreal's Jazz Fest, Michael Buble is one of Canada's most talented and well known acts out there right now. His songs blend jazz and pop like no one has ever done before, and his charm onstage make his shows a must.

Why you're going:Â These Toronto natives are best known for collaborating with other great musicians like Tyler, the Creator and Frank Ocean, but their distinct sound is definitely worth checking out. They have a very unique way of interpreting hip hop tracks, and have been called revolutionary in their genre.

Why you're going:Â Vans Warped Tour is a staple of Montreal summers. Last year, the festival was cancelled in our city and it brought internet riots of all sorts from festival-goers. Don't miss the Warped Tour comeback this year at Parc Jean Drapeau. All the best up & coming artists from pop/rock/punk etc are there, and it's always a sweaty, memorable time!
Andrew Bird

Why you're going:Â The very talented multi-instrumentalist Andrew Bird always puts on an absolutely stunning show when he comes to Montreal, so it's no wonder he made the list. He's been releasing music since 1996, and consistently showcases his talent on each of his new albums.
Deer Tick/Adam BaldwinÂ

Genre:Â Alternative/Rock
Why you're going:Â You're always in for a good night of alternative/rock music at Il Motore. The smaller venue allows for much more intimate shows, and is the perfect environment for the grungy, but still charming music of Deer Tick. Bruce Springsteen inspired musician Adam Baldwin is another great addition to July shows in Montreal, don't miss either of them if you're headed to the concert!
Tyler, the Creator

Why you're going:Â Tyler Okonma (better known under his stage name Tyler, the Creator) is a world renown rapper and even has his own record label 'Odd Future Records'. His music features a slew of great artists from Pharrell to Frank Ocean, and he's rumored to be recording with Mac DeMarco now. He's worked with so many great musicians, there's no doubt his live show is a great reflection of all the hard work!

Why you're going:Â These guys have been around for quite some time, having been named one of the best MySpace bands back in 2006. They've continued to get recognition throughout the years, with a brand new album released in June 2014. It'll be a show filled with both old and new music for sure!

The FrayÂ

Why you're going:Â Lead vocalist Isaac Slaade is one of the must-see musicians of our time. The Fray hasn't performed in Montreal in FAR too long, and despite the tickets being a tiny bit expensive, it's going to be crazy worth it. The Fray have a way of getting you completely lost in music. Go, and enjoy.
Ben Sollee
