Friends, spring is upon us. And with the onset of spring comes something much more promising on the horizon: The beginning of summer. Now, I'm not sure if you're aware of this, but summer in Montreal is pretty much the greatest. We've got tons of cool activities going on, a vibe that cannot be matched, celebrities, and - my own personal favourite thing - tons of food trucks.

Without a doubt, food trucks are a huge part of what makes summer in Montreal so awesome. There's something magical about grabbing some great food from a great (mobile) restaurant, no matter where you are in the city, and basking in the glorious Montreal weather.

We’re all familiar with the concept of a BBQ, but we’re not talking about your backyard burgers and dogs here. We’re talking traditional Southern BBQ, where enormous slabs of meat are rubbed with spice, cooked for hours in a smoker until the meat is literally falling off the bone, then slathered in sweet smokey sauce as you struggle to keep yourself from drooling. Perhaps it took a while, but Montrealers have finally caught on to the fact that southern cooking is god damn delicious. Don’t bother driving down to Memphis for your next BBQ fix, you can get the real thing right here in Montreal, and not some cheap imitation.
