summer festival montreal

This year's festival season is off to a good start, helping Montrealers return to some semblance of normality. Haïti en Folie is no exception.

After two years of adapted programming due to the pandemic, this huge celebration of Haitian culture is back with its 16th edition that combines online events with indoor and outdoor shows. You gotta love the fact that Montreal is just about overflowing with fun things to do during the summer. You literally can't get bored even if you tried. Okay, well at least you couldn't complain about it without risking sounding like a brat with #firstworldproblems. Of the many amazing events dropping this summer, Zoofest is the wildly hilarious and off-the-wall discovery festival taking over the city for 3 whole weeks of daring burlesque shows, laugh-out-loud comedy acts, and unforgettable musical and cabaret performances.

Hope y'all have got your finest capes, utility belts, wings, scepters and hammers ready, because Montreal Comiccon is back! The international fan convention showcasing the best in comics, sci-fi, horror, anime, video games and more, returns for its 7th edition and will yet again bring with it some of the world’s biggest entertainment heroes (and villains!).

Montreal Comiccon has grown leaps and bounds since its inception back in 2006, but this year's edition will be bigger and better than ever. So big in fact, that it will be held this summer (instead of the fall) and will take over an entire floor of Palais des congrès for 3 full-days of pure geek overload!

I think it's safe to say, a staple of this glorious city is the plethora of awesome summer festivals that make being outside and enjoying the sun exponentially better, if that's even possible. Throw in a huge selection of local and international beers to sample, tasty food to eat, and you maybe have the best festival of them all: The Mondial de la bière Festival!

Le Mondial de la bière is back for its 22nd edition, officially marking the return of summer in Montreal! An entire festival dedicated to delicious hoppy goodness in all its forms that has become one of the biggest in the world since its inception in 1994. Showcasing the very best in local and international breweries, Le Mondial de la bière offers a total hedonistic experience we have definitely come to know and love.
