If I've said it once, I've said it a thousand times: Sushi is my one true bae. Honestly, it's the only thing I can eat for every single meal, and never ever get sick of.
With that being said, I do appreciate some variety, and while I have a couple of go-to sushi spots, Montreal's got an amazing sushi restaurant scene begging to be explored, TBH. Luckily for all of you, I've found a few gems on my numerous sushi journeys, and I've decided to share my findings.

1. Sushi Momo
It's no secret that I've given Sushi Momo a lot of love in the past. But, friends, you're going to have to trust me when I say that all this love is rightfully deserved.
First of all, Sushi Momo serves up exclusively vegan sushi - and some pretty amazing vegan sushi, at that. Featuring jackfruit, faux "shrimp" tempura, and other mouth-watering ingredients, it's no wonder why these rolls are often tastier than their meatier counterparts.
Believe it or not, though, Sushi Momo has more awesome tricks up its sleeve. With a super friendly and welcoming ambiance, incredibly fresh ingredients, and sushi rolls that are always expertly cooked and plated, this Plateau sushi spot is much more than just a restaurant. It's an experience, friends; and an awesome one, at that.
2. Jun-I
Lovers of all things seafood, rejoice. While it's true that Jun-I serves up some of the most legitimately amazing sushi I've ever tried in my life (think buttery, chewy, melt-in-your mouth chunks of sashimi and fresh, flavourful rolls of sushi), I think their seafood is worth talking about, too.
Because, honestly, Jun I's got some seriously amazing and fresh dishes - like their red tuna tartare with black truffle oil, or their poached stingray and yuzu butter dish. Which means, of course, that Jun I isn't just the perfect place for people who adore sushi, but the perfect place for people who adore food, in general.
3. Park
Truthfully, what Montreal sushi list would be complete without Park? There's a very good reason why this Westmount eatery is so widely known and loved, friends: Their sushi is out of this world amazing.
Of course, Park offers other dishes, as well - like their yummy chicken teriyaki don, or their incredibly delicious bibimbap - which means that even non sushi lovers can enjoy a seriously out of this world meal at one of Montreal's best restaurants.
And for those of us who have pledged our undying love for the famous Japanese dish? Well, let me just say that Park's fresh, tasty sushi will absolutely leave you with a lasting impression, and a craving that won't be fulfilled until you go back, like, every single night for the next month and a half.
4. Kazumi
Hey, who here likes wine? Everyone? Great! What about sushi? Also everyone? Perfect, because I've got some great news for you, sushi and wine lovers.
Kazumi serves up some of the tastiest sushi dishes you'll ever have the pleasure of putting in your mouth. Their options are not only fresh, but also feature awesome combinations - like their "Basilic" tempura roll, which includes tuna, salmon, shitake mushrooms, and basil - that will 100% leave you drooling all over the place.
But the best part? Kazumi is a bring your own wine restaurant. That's right. Wine and sushi, the world's most epic combination, together at Kazumi. I literally cannot think of any other way I'd rather spend all my future meals, TBH.
5. Saint Sushi
Ah, Saint Sushi. Although this spot hasn't been opened as long as some of the other ones on this list, Saint Sushi has made a huge splash on Montreal's food scene. If you've ever eaten here, though, there's really no question as to why.
Boasting high-quality ingredients, innovative and tasty dishes (tuna and salmon sushi roll featuring yogurt sauce and tempura? Count me in!), and an unbelievably welcoming, friendly atmosphere, Saint Sushi is pretty much the perfect spot to enjoy some fresh, mouthwateringly delicious sushi.
6. Kyo
Looking for a modern, comfortable place to enjoy your next sushi feast? Well, look no further, friends. You've found Kyo - AKA, your next fave.
Other than rocking a seriously awesome atmosphere (perfect for a date or a gathering with friends, btw), Kyo serves up some of the tastiest and freshest sushi in the city. Although their whole menu is full of innovative, fresh, and awesome sushi dishes, my own personal favourite? Their sashimi salad, featuring a yuzu vinaigrette that compliments the fresh, rich sashimi perfectly.
7. Boite Geisha
Okay, honestly, I can't even begin to tell you how obsessed I am with this place. Located in Montreal's Plateau, Boite Geisha is consistently fresh, consistently delicious, and - in a few words - consistently amazing.
Of course, their food plays a huge part as to why I'm so in love with this sushi place. Their ingredients are super high-quality and fresh, and their dishes are super unique and tasty. Protip, though? You absolutely have to try their sushi pizza, featuring seriously awesome toppings (like lobster, mango, avocado, and marinated squid) on a bed of crispy, flavourful rice. Amazing? You know it.
8. Bako Sushi
Located in Montreal's St. Leonard, Bako might be a bit out of the way for some people. Trust me, though. The trek is more than worth it.
First and foremost, everything is quality at Bako. Their traditional, delicious sushi rolls are made with amazingly fresh ingredients, for a sushi experience that honestly cannot be beat. Roll that in with their extremely friendly and welcoming vibe and their incredibly fair prices, and you know you've just landed yourself a new favourite sushi spot to add to your list.
9. Yoshi Sushi
Friends, be prepare for some serious sushi euphoria. Yoshi Sushi, situated right in the heart of the Plateau, is pretty much the perfect spot to kill that sushi craving.
This spot combines fantastic flavours and fresh ingredients to create sushi dishes that will basically blow your mind. A selection of their mouthwatering sushi selection? Their "Tropical" roll, featuring scallop tempura, strawberries, and spicy sauce; and their "Sumo", with shrimp, avocado, mango, and crab. Sound amazing? That's because it is, friend.
10. 5 Saisons Sushi
Okay, sushi lovers, you might want to sit down for this one. 5 Saisons Sushi is so awesome that it might literally blow you away.
What is it about this NDG spot that makes it so awesome? Other than their incredibly extensive menu, which features super creative sushi rolls (like their "Double Face", featuring tuna and salmon sashimi wrapped in breaded seaweed) and their high quality ingredients, that is? Straight-up, it's the ambiance.
5 Saisons Sushi boasts a vibe that's friendly, trendy, and incredibly fun, making it the perfect spot for a gathering, a date, a party, or pretty much anything. And if that's not a huge win, well, I don't know what is.
