Just before 9 a.m. on Wednesday, April 12, Montreal police received a call reporting an unconscious man in a Westmount park near rue Sherbrooke. The man, who was in his early sixties, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to media relations officer Jean-Pierre Brabant.
The SPVM doesn't consider there to be any signs of criminal activity, so they are not currently investigating the death. The coroner's office, for their part, is looking into determining the cause of death.

You will need to check them out before hand to get further information. So bike there first and then plan your surfing day for another BFF date.
For those BFFs who want to get their tan on, I recommend checking out Parc Angrigon for a relaxing tanning experience. If you and your BFF have a sweet tooth, then I suggest checking out Parc Saint-Louis since it's located right next to Dairy Queen in Lachine! You and your BFF can enjoy a sweet treat and a lovely walk along the St. Lawrence River. Not only is the scenery beautiful but so is the old lighthouse that is located at the tip of the board walk!
Behind the Natatorium in Verdun, there is a fairly large doc where you and your BFF can sit, relax, and talk while enjoying the beautiful weather of Montreal. You guys can sit, soak up the sun, and have a great time!
There is no better way to take advantage of the summer weather in Montreal then to going to Parc Mount Royal for Tam tams. Tam tams is a weekly free festival that has music, food, and well a bunch of people that are dancing! So if you and your BFF love to dance, or just love people watching then I suggest checking out the Tam tams in Parc Mount Royal.
For those BFFs who also happen to be foodies, I suggest making a beautiful picnic and heading to Jarry Park. Not only is it a beautiful site to see, but it also has great secluded areas that offer perfect picnic places. But if you and your BFF are on the lazy side and don't want to make your own picnic, then I suggest going to Dinette Triple Crown.
Dinnette Triple Crown packs and makes a picnic for your and your BFF! All you have to do is walk to Jarry Park and enjoy for wonderful picnic!
8. Go To Cap-Saint-Jacques Nature Park For A Nature Walk And Beach Day
If you and your BFF are nature freaks like me, then I promise that you will love the nature walk in the Cap-Saint-Jacques Nature Park. It is absolutely stunning and at the end of the walk you find the beach! So enjoy nature and then relax on the beach with your BFF.
9. Go To Parc de l'Aqueduc For Kayaking In The St.Lawrence
For a rush of adrenaline and a fun adventure, I believe that you and your BFF should check out Parc de l'Aqueduc for some fabulous kayaking in the St. Lawrence River. Go to the park in Little Italy if you want to enjoy a nice scoop of fresh gelato with your BFF. This is honestly the perfect park to enjoy a cute BFF date. 13. Go To Esplanade Ernest-Cormier Park For A Sculpture Tour
For those artsy BFFs like me, I strongly recommend going to the Esplanade Ernest-Cormier Park for a magnificent sculpture tour! You can either walk around and enjoy the sculptures or venture off and explore the hidden ones that no one has seen!
For some sweet scents, I suggest checking out Westmount Park with your BFF to enjoy a cute little day by the Lilac and Cherry Blossom Trees. It is a great place to take a selfie with your BFF and to enjoy what mother nature has to offer to Montreal!
I don't know about you guys, but to me, there's just something about lilacs that scream Montreal. Not only do they smell - and look - amazing, but they're also kind of a symbol for spring in the city (aka the end of winter/the beginning of pure, seasonal happiness).
Although there are tons of spots to check out Montreal's gorgeous lilac trees, there are certain areas where you're guaranteed to get a good look at these pretty purple flowers - and where you're guaranteed to impress your date, too. Curious as to what I'm talking about? Well, don't worry. I've got your back, friends.
Alright, raise your hand if you've been to Westmount Park. Is your hand raised? If it's not, then TBH, I feel kind of bad for you.
This spot not only has an ace location - right in the heart of Westmount - and a vast expanse of pretty green space (which includes a beautiful pond), but it also just so happens to be one of the best places in the city to go on a lilac-spotting date. With tons of vibrant trees for you and your S/O to admire, theres seriously no way you could go wrong in spending the day at this Westmount park.
At this stage in the game, I'm super sure that you know about the Botanical Gardens. But, honestly, this spot is just too perfect not to write about.
Pretty much heaven for anyone who loves flowers, plants, or nature in general, the Botanical Gardens has got tons of gorgeous tress and flowers for you to check out - including their super pretty lilac trees. Although the Botanical Gardens are beautiful at basically any time of the year, they've got an especially romantic feel around this time of year, perfect for that first (or second, or third) date.
Located in Montreal's Plateau, right near the mountain, Jeanne-Mance Park is an awesome spot to chill, have a picnic, or do pretty much anything.
Including take a date, of course; and if you and your date are down to scope out Montreal's beyond gorgeous lilac trees, then this is the spot for you. Bonus points if you're down for a couples' jog, too, since Jeanne-Mance Park is also a fantastic jogging spot.
Montreal's St. Joseph's Oratory is a lot of things: Canada's biggest church, a basilica, a Canadian National Historic Site, and one of the places that Montreal is pretty much well-known for.
But did you know that it's also an awesome spot to check out beautiful, blooming lilac trees? Seriously. The Oratory's outdoor garden is honestly breathtakingly beautiful, and features tons of gorgeous greenery, including a handful of pretty lilac trees. Oh, and for added bonus points, you can make a whole day out of it. Check out the trees; check out the Oratory; enjoy your summer date, it's all good.
Honestly, what's there not to love about Jarry Park? It's legit got everything an awesome park should have - and then some.
Like what, you ask? Like a huge, gorgeous water fountain; a seriously awesome gazebo; a pool; green space... Pretty much anything you could possibly ask for, TBH. Oh, and not to mention their gorgeous lilac trees, blooming pretty much everywhere throughout the park. So, go ahead. Pick a spot, get comfy, and prepare to lilac-gaze with bae.
If you've ever been to Montreal's Prince-Arthur Street, then the chances are very high that you know about Square Saint-Louis. The oasis-like respite is pretty much a gorgeous haven for anyone who's down to take a second to relax in the middle of Montreal's super busy Plateau.
And it also happens to be an awesome spot to peep some seriously gorgeous lilacs. Although the flowers tend to mostly bloom around the perimeter of the park, you can still see some seriously gorgeous blossoms, no matter what vantage point you happen to be taking.
Breakups are hard, downright brutal sometimes. After spending many days, months, even years getting to know that special someone, allowing them to fester in your personal bubble, and forming what once seemed to be a steadfast bond, only to have it ultimately explode  (or implode whatever the case me be) in your face can be one of the most difficult challenges to overcome.
You suddenly find yourself with more free time than you know what to do with, binge-watching anything you can get your hands on, and while you miss having that person around, the fact is you need some alone time to lick your wounds and reconcile all those sad emotions swelling up inside. It'll take some time to put everything behind you and get over all that love lost, and while the nearest dive bar and/or supermarket ice cream aisle may be the most obvious choices, Montreal has some clutch spots you can go to after a breakup that you may not have considered to help you mend that broken heart.
In terms of art galleries, no one really knows about Espace MAI, which is kind of a shame, but now you do. The MAI is home to intercultural arts, a place where cross-cultural artistic expression combine to produce experimental, hybrid genres and styles. Sounds a bit like all that self-indulgent turmoil you're currently going through, but nevertheless, the gallery is free, and you can check out various video installations they put on as well.
Laid out behind a partial replica of the Canadian Centre for Architecture's façade across the street, is a quiet sculpture garden, complete with some funky allegorical columns designed by Montreal artist-architect Melvin Charney. Some of these columns feature single chairs suspended high above which is perfect for you to climb up and sit in, you know, since your're now single and all. If not, the long wall that overlooks the Ville-Marie Expressway will have to do.
You're probably already well familiar with Mount Royal Park and La Fontaine Park, but as the two bigger and more popular parks in the city, they generally tend to be over crowded. Westmount Park though, is 26 acres of secluded paths lined with old trees, big open fields, and features a picturesque pond and a stream that winds through the middle. If that's not enough to clear your head, the park's delightful greenhouses surely will.
Hidden away in the atrium of the World Trade Center is an absolutely stunning courtyard that is ideal for a little alone time. Ponder the meaning of life while you stare into the reflecting pools of the fountain, or wander around the vast open area to find various art and historic elements like a remnant of the Berlin Wall. Which is a rather good metaphor for your crumbling relationship and subsequent freedom it represents.
Libraries are always a good place to hide yourself away from society when you need some time to think, and the Bibliothèque National will not disappoint. As Quebec's national library, this place is huge and attracts some 10,000 users per day, but don't let that cramp your style, because there are numerous reading rooms, audio-visual theaters, and even a little sculpture garden where you can read up on life after love.
The grassy banks of the Peel Basin are not an obvious spot to get to, but once you do, you are treated to one of the best, unobstructed views of the Montreal skyline, hands down. You also have the iconic Farine Five Roses sign on the other side to keep you company while you figure out if you know anyone you could rebound with.
In the search for meaning, no one's got more answers than Jesus, amirite? But even if you aren't religious, Notre-Dame Basilica is a truly breathtaking place and its Gothic Revival architecture is some of the most dramatic in the world, not unlike you really. When you're done talking to God, you are already in Old Montreal, a prime location find yourself a sexy stranger in the night.
