That's exactly why weekend trips are the best. They're kind of like little micro-vacations; you can relax and escape reality, but not for so long that it becomes excessive.

And if you're wondering where exactly the coolest spots for a weekend trip are in Canada, then no worries. I got your back.

Mont Tremblant, Quebec

Honestly, Mont Tremblant is magical. Not only is it an incredibly special place to go during the summer and fall, when the colourful village comes alive, but it's known for being a super top notch place to go skiing, making it a perfect winter weekend escape.

Is Port Hope one of the most charming towns in Ontario? Quite possibly, actually. All I know for sure is that this small town makes for one seriously gorgeous weekend getaway.

Baie-Saint-Paul, Quebec

Honestly, Baie-Saint-Paul is beautiful. Located in the Charlevoix region of Quebec, this gorgeous small town is not only breathtaking, but full of super fun activities, too, making it an awesome spot for a weekend getaway.

This New Brunswick town is literally adorable. If you love anything to do with water, you'll feel right at home here, as the Miramichi River is one incredibly gorgeous, and popular, weekend attraction.

Quebec City, Quebec

Come on, who here doesn't love Quebec City? This super romantic and beautiful city is chalk full of history and super fun things to do, see, and visit - including the famous Chateau Frontenac, the most photographed hotel in the world.

Lunenburg, Nova Scotia

This port town is pretty much situated on the water, so if you love fishing, boating, or otherwise good vibes... well, you know where to go.

Desbiens, Quebec

This beautiful spot is home to what I consider to be one of the most magical spots in the whole province: Trou De La Fee, a beautiful park with seriously breathtaking caverns to explore.

Mahone Bay, Nova Scotia

Situated right along the Mahone Bay, this small, quaint, adorable town is the perfect weekend escape for anyone who wants to see pretty much the most gorgeous sights around.

Montebello, Quebec

Luxury hotels, spas, campsites, water, and a whole lot more - there's pretty much nothing this adorable Quebec town doesn't have.

Victoria, British Columbia

Pretty much the ultimate weekend getaway for anyone living on Canada's West Coast, Victoria is full of history, outdoor things to do, and gorgeous sights to see.
