With Canada still ranking in 8th place out of 43 countries for highest gender pay gap based on data from 2016, it's safe to say a list that women can refer to for safe and equal job opportunities is more than necessary.

According to a study byThe Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives, women earn an average of 68 cents for every dollar their male counterparts make. When looking at senior manager roles, the gap closes in at 86 cents for every dollar.

The same study concludes that on average, men in Canada earn $950,000 more per year than women who are in similar executive positions.

Great Place to Work updates their top 50 list annually, so there is the opportunity for companies to make 2019 a year of growth and earn a potential spot on the 2020 Best Workplaces for Women list.
