The Government Of Canada Has Officially Banned Boeing 737 Max 8 Planes From Flying After Two Major Crashes

Transport Canada has issued a safety notice that restricts the use of the Boeing 737 Max 8 aircraft in Canadian airspace. This aircraft model is the one that crashed in Ethiopia earlier this week, killing 157 passengers.

TL;DR Transport Canada has issued a safety notice that restricts the use of the Boeing 737 Max 8 aircraft in Canadian airspace. 

Several airlines around the world have already grounded their fleet of Boeing 737 Max 8s.

Though industry experts warn that conclusions as to the source of the crash cannot be determined yet, many Canadians are expressing concerns about their safety in these aircrafts.

Air Canada has issued a statement saying that they have a flexible re-booking policy for those who wish to get on a different flight in a different aircraft.

Air Canada, along with Southwest and American Airlines are notable in their resistance to grounding their fleet, and were still operating these aircrafts. Air Canada has 24 Boeing 737 Max 8.

More news to come. This restriction does not mean a permanent grounding of the fleet of Boeing 737 Max 8.
