The Highest Rated May 2018 Netflix Originals In Canada

TV Shows, Movies and upcoming releases!
The Highest Rated May 2018 Netflix Originals In Canada

Netflix is easily the best way to pass time and is chalked full of binge-worthy content, whether its original or not.

Netflix's original content, though, is a leader in TV, while their original film content hasn't quite achieved the recognition their tv series' have. Still, there are some good flicks in there that are certainly worth your time.

It's hard to keep up with what has been added every month, and more so to keep up with what is worth your time to watch.

We've got you all covered, though, and today I have some of Netflix's original content that is totally worth your streaming time and dollars.

Here are 10 Netflix Originals you should watch this month:

1. Superstition

IMDB Rotten Tomatoes

A new Netflix series that I have been wanting to watch, but have not - yet. Superstition is a supernatural drama that follows a family who owns a funeral home in Georgia. The series is polarizing audiences, some love it, some don't.

2. The Rain

IMDB Rotten Tomatoes

This is one of the most talked about new original series added to Netflix of late. The series follows a group of teenaged survivors in Scandinavia after a deadly storm-carried virus wipes out the most of the population.

3. Dear White People - Season 2

IMDB Rotten Tomatoes

Dear White People, the TV-show reboot was hugely successful in season 1, and the highly anticipated second season just arrived to Netflix this month!

4. The Alienist

IMDB Rotten Tomatoes

Luke Evans and Dakota Fanning lead this murder-mystery, thriller set in 1986 New York City. I've watched a few episodes, and I'm hooked! You should give it a chance.

5. Kodachrome

IMDB | Rotten Tomatoes

Starring Elizabeth Olsen, Ed Harris, and Jason Sudeikis.

Set during the final days of the admired photo development system known as Kodachrome, a father and son hit the road in order to reach the Kansas photo lab before it closes its doors for good.

6. Cargo

IMDB | Rotten Tomatoes (Not Available)

A post-apocalyptic thriller about a father trying to save his son at all costs.

7. Anon

IMDB Rotten Tomatoes

Starring Amanda Seyfried and Clive Owen.

In a world without anonymity or crime, a detective meets a woman who threatens their security.

8. On My Block

IMDB | Rotten Tomatoes

A new coming-of-age teen dramedy that is set in South Central Los Angeles.

9. End Game

IMDB | Rotten Tomatoes

Noted as "heartbreaking and truly raw", End Game takes a look at terminally ill patients, and the doctors trying to change our approach to life and death.

10. Lost In Space

IMDB Rotten Tomatoes

Now, I had hesitations of including this on the list, but it is still being talked about everywhere. Combine that trending topic status with the fact that is one of the most expensive Netflix originals ever made, I thought it deserved a spot here.

BONUS - These titles below may not be available just yet, but they are coming and they're coming real soon!

11. 13 Reasons Why

IMDB Rotten Tomatoes

You guys are all too excited for the return of Netflix's 13 Reasons Why. You can see what I had to say about season 2 right here, and here.

13 Reasons Why returns May 18, 2018.

12. Ibiza

IMDB Rotten Tomatoes

Gillian Jacobs and SNL's Vanessa Bayer lead this new bestie's comedy that sees a group of girlfriends take Ibiza by storm to hunt for a superstar DJ.

Ibiza will be released to Netflix on May 25, 2018.

13. Arrested Development

IMDB Rotten Tomatoes

Probably the biggest announcement from Netflix to come in a while, Arrested Development Season 5 officially hits the streaming service this month! Check out the new trailer.

Arrested Development Season 5 will be released on May 29, 2018, and Netflix just added the older seasons, too!
