We are spoilt to be living in such a green province, and we should take advantage of it for the 6-months out of the year that the hot sun shines down on us.

That said, although our beaches aren't exactly the white sand and tropical vibe ones you get from our neighbors down south in the Carribean,  we do 100% have sandy beaches here in Quebec.  And they are perfect in their very own unique way.

A particularly beautiful beach here in Quebec is located in Escourt Quebec, an area that is just straddling the border of the U.S. state of Main. It's about a 4 hours drive from Montreal and 2-hours from Quebec city.

Not only is this town known for being right on the border of Main, but also for a vast and beautiful lake called Lac Pohénégamook where you can find one of the most beautiful sandy beaches, and it's main attraction, the largest inflatable water playground in Canada!

This stunning lake has a long and sandy shoreline where you can just chill and relax all day, or participate in a ton of different water activities and sports like canoeing, kayaking, paddle boarding, and more!

The main attraction here is the floating water playground, that has just expanded to be even bigger this year. Here is a little video of what you can expect.

This area boasts some of the most beautiful beaches in Quebec and is without a doubt an incredible way to take an inexpensive yet awesome summer vacation.

Not sure where to stay? Not a problem. A local tourism group called Pohénégamook Santé Plein Air 2.0 has got your back. You can access their official site and book camping or multiple lodging accommodations directly with them. Camping costs as little as 10$ per night.

For more information on Lake Pohénégamook and all the activities in the area, check out their official Facebook page HERE and website HERE.
