The Montreal Canadiens Are Hosting A Free Massive "Fan Jam" Party Outside The Bell Centre Tomorrow

We finally made it. After 82 grueling regular season games, the perennial square dance known as the NHL Playoffs are right around the corner and Lord Stanley is once again knocking on the Canadiens' door. And dare I say, this could very well be our year.
In case you didn't know, this city fvcking loves its hockey, and playoff hockey is extra special. Combine that with the warming weather, the opening of terrasses and the promise of summer, and this truly is a magical time in Montreal. Game 1 against the Ottawa Sentators kicks off tomorrow for what is sure to be a helluva of a series, and to honour our Bleu, Blanc Rouge, the Canadiens Fan Jam is back.
Last year it was appropriately held right outside the Bell Centre on Avenue des Canadiens, but since there is mad construction going on there now, the 2015 Fam Jam will be happening at the open field just down the street on Peel and St-Jacques (map). There's still no exact details on activities planned yet, but last year saw free Habs-inspired haircuts by Notorious Barbershop as well as tattoo artists on-hand to make your devotion permanent, so expect similar fun stuff. There will no doubt be plenty of music, games and beer, though, so show up before the game for some good times.
Here's to hoping that they will set up a big screen to show the game for all of us who can't afford tickets, and throw in some of those Playoff towels for good measure.
