The Most Expensive Hot-Dog And Fries In Montreal

So last night I went out for my girlfriend's birthday and she chose a place I never heard about called Le Majestique. After walking into an alternate sepia colored dimension (I say that in a good way) we began perusing the menu. Everything seemed fancy, trendy and innovative. Tartars, quinoa croquettes, squid salads and 2 items I simply didn't expect to see: A hot dog and fries.
At first I figured it was probably a menu item for picky eaters. But I couldn't help but notice the price tag of the hotdog: $22 (without tax and without fries).
I couldn't help it, I just had to find out what a $22 hot-dog tasted like. So I ordered and I was not disappointed.
This is the behemoth they presented me with. I'll give you a second to catch your breath.

It's a 12 inch pork sausage topped with a red cabbage coleslaw, thin slivers of apple (yup ... apples!) and the finest fried onion shavings I have ever seen. It is absolutely perfect.
It's so big they serve it in a trough-like wooden stand with 3 slits on the side so you can cut out 3 inch portions. Eating it without making a mess is nearly impossible, but that's the last thing on your mind when you're biting into this masterpiece.
I don't even have time to get in to the fries, but let's just say I've probably eaten more fries than anyone else in Montreal (seriously, I have a terrible diet) and these are definitely my new favorite.
