The Most Insane Fall Foliage You Gotta See Only 1 Hour Away From Montreal That’s Worth Roadtripping To

Fall is a highly underrated season, and I believe I have discovered why people feel so indifferent towards it, it's full pumpkin spice and clichés.

Summer is a season filled with possibilities, but in the Fall, it feels like the only activity that exists is apple picking.

So if you're for something a little different this year, we have the perfect activity for you.

Fall Color Festivals.

Finding breathtaking spots from where to to watch the leaves changing colors is a popular activity in Quebec and many of the ski hills near Montreal will actually let you ride the chairlifts up the mountain so you can get the best possible vantage point.

Mount Sutton is holding their color festival from September 17 to October 16, and their activity list includes:

  • Chairlift rides to the top of the hill
  • FREE Guided hikes for all
  • Introduction to slackline
  • Fatbike rentals
  • Obstacle course for children
  • Activities and crafts
  • Jazz and live singers
  • A huge BBQ at the foot of the slopes
  • Wine tastings
  • Ski equipment liquidations

Check out their website for more info.

And if you don't feel like heading to Sutton, you can just head to the mountain closest to you. Here's a list of some other ski hills who are currently holding some similar events.
