Canada is home to a number of breathtaking views. From enjoying a view from the top of a mountain, to relaxing on the beaches of the Maritimes, to sitting by a crystal-clear lake or enjoying incredible cityscapes from the top of a skyscraper, Canadians are lucky to have some stunning vistas to enjoy.
Many restaurants make the most of the natural (or man-made beauty) around them. Open Table sought to highlight the restaurants with the best views by compiling a list of the 100 most scenic restaurants in Canada.
Here are their 6 top picks for Quebec.
Arôme – Casino du Lac Leamy
Where: 3 boulevard du Casino, Gatineau
This restaurant serves fine French cuisine cooked at your table. The restaurant, located near a scenic lake, offers dinnergoers a great view of wild nature.
Aux Chantignoles
Where: 392 rue Notre-Dame, Montebello.
Aux Chantignoles is a refined steakhouse in Montebello, Quebec, known for its location on a beautiful, manicured estate. It's particularly popular in the summer thanks to its beautiful terrasse.
Brasserie T!
Where: 1425 rue Jeanne-Mance, Montreal.
This restaurant was put on the list for its great view of Montreal's vibrant Quartier des Spectacles. People-watch from the floor-to-ceiling glass windows and enjoy great, fresh food.
Le Baccara – Casino du Lac Leamy
Where: 1 boulevard du Casino, Gatineau.
This restaurant, which is also located at Lac Leamy's beautiful casino, serves fresh, seasonal dishes on the beautiful lake Leamy.
Portus 360
Where: 777 boulevard Robert-Bourassa, Montreal.
This restaurant, which serves authentic Portuguese food, is probably best known for its location atop a Montreal skyscraper, with a 360 view of the city.
Sterling Restaurant
Where: 835 rue Jacques-Cartier, Gatineau.
Sterling is a beautiful restaurant in Gatineau that specialises in french specialties like escargot and filet mignon. It commands a great view of the Gatineau river.
This rounds up the list of the most scenic restaurants in Quebec. I'm surprised that some other scenic restaurants like the Place Ville-Marie's Les Enfants Terribles or the ephemereal Suspended Café were left out.
