With both Saint Jean-Baptist day and Canada Day just around the corner, Canadians and especially Quebec residents are bracing for two full weeks of celebrations.
In Montreal, both holidays mean BBQs, parties, outdoor lounging, and streets draped in patiotic colours.
And what better way to complement this saturation of colour than with a saturation of wine?
That must have been what officials at the SAQ were thinking when they announced a huge summer wine and cider sale yesterday afternoon. There's nothing like a good wine-buzz to bring any celebration from a 6 to a 10, especially when fireworks are involved.
Over 85 products are on sale from now until July 8th. I don't know about you, but my price range for wine or cider is generally 10 to 15 dollars. I'm in luck because the prices of some bottles have been slashed by 5 to 7 dollars!
The promotion promises at least off all items, but many have seen up to 0 discounts!
Picture it: a lazy evening picnic in the Old Port with fireworks and an assortment of cheap wines and ciders. We all know that wine discounts only means more money to spend on wine. The SAQ gets me every time.
