It's sad to say that in our beautiful city of Montreal theft is inevitable! Just in 2013 alone, over 270 cases were recorded of theft on the metro and this does not account for cases that are not reported. Crimes against property are the highest forms of crime that occur at metro stations in Montreal. It is followed by crimes against a person, crimes against drugs, and others.
In general, property crime in Montreal has in fact decreased by 50% since 2015 by theft on the metro is still the most common. The metro stations below are the ones where you are most likely going to get stolen from so hold your things close and be safe.
