The Trailer For Frozen 2 Is Here And It's Everything We Weren't Expecting

After the runaway success of Frozen, a Disney movie about sisterly love which spawned an equal amount of memes and children's clothing, the producers got to work on a sequel.

The newest movie in the franchise, Frozen 2, will come out six years after the first movie, which aired in 2013. The release date is set for November 22, 2019 in Quebec.

Though the last movie showed us how powerful Elsa can be, this new addition to the series makes us realise how little we know about the Queen of Arendelle.

Frozen 2 isn't going to be your traditional fairytale. Instead, it appears to be a quest to find the truth. You can watch the full trailer below.

The trailer, filled with mysterious phrases like "The past in not what it seems" and "We always feared Elsa's powers were too much for this world. Now we must hope that they are enough," doesn't reveal much about the plot of the movie.

The sisters will embark on a journey accross enchanted lands along with the goofy Olaf and trustworthy Kristoff. In the trailer, we can see them battling all sorts of icy monsters.

What is most striking about the trailer is the animators' incredible attention to detail. It's noticeable on everything from the hair to the clothing of the characters.

Fans are really excited about the trailer, which was released a little over an hour ago. Reactions can be found everywhere online:

However, the trailer doesn't reveal any catchy musical numbers: it appears we'll have to wait a little longer for the soundtrack.

Wether you're a super fan or just curious to know what catchy song the franchise will pen next, you'll be able to satisfy you Frozen needs this fall.

The movie is set to air in Quebec on November 22, 2019.
