Legend has it this stuff was created by a Hong Kong chef thousands of years ago when he was trying to impress an emperor. The sweet candy is often topped with sliced coconut and chopped peanuts. Definitely a treat you're going to want to try ASAP.
Restaurant Sai Gwan
If you're looking for authentic Chinese food, this is the spot. Their fresh and made-to-order egg noodles compliment multiple dishes you'll never get enough of. Don't forget to order some of their savory dumplings while you're there.
Le Mal Nรฉcessaire
This Asian-style Tiki bar takes the word "hidden" to another level. Serving unbelievable Chinese tapas and tiki-style cocktails, you'll be amazed by how the clashing cultures make for an amazing experience. The only catch is that the only way to find this spot is to look for the neon pineapple that hangs outside, otherwise you will totally miss the doors to this gem.

With all of the historical and cultural value in Montreal's Chinatown comes the artist's interpretation of the scene. At every corner you'll have no problem finding some of the most obscure murals, paintings and sculptures that will help you discover more about both Asian cultures and Montreal. So grab some steamed buns and bubble tea and take a stroll through the streets to see some of the most beautiful secret art in all of the city.
