Sometime between the evening of July 26th and the early hours of July 27th, the Paralympic medals of swimmer Benoît Huot were stolen from the athletes home in Saint-Lambert, just off of the island of Montreal. Now, two Canadian organizations are offering a $2000 reward to anyone who can return the medals or provide information on their whereabouts.

7 different medals were stolen from Huot's home, all from his various swimming competitions throughout his athletic career. As of now, the Longeuil police department is asking the general public for any information on the case, with Échec au crime and Canadian Tire offering the up to $2000 reward.

If you have any idea of who stole these medals or where they may now reside, please call in to the confidential Échec au crime service line at 1-800-711-1800.

For point of reference, below is a list of all the medals stolen:

  • 3 medals from the 2007 Pacific Parapan Games
  • 1 bronze medal from the 2008 Paralympic Games in Beijing
  • 1 bronze medal from the 2002 Commonwealth Games in Manchester
  • 1 gold medal from the 2000 Paralympic Games in Sydney
