There Was An Explosion In Tunnel La Fontaine In Montreal

At about 9:30 am there was an explosion in Tunnel Louis-Hippolyte-La Fontaine in the northbound lane.

The cause of the explosion was the propane tank from an RV that caught fire. The vehicles inside the tunnel when the explosion happened were trapped until about 11:00 am.

The entire northbound direction has been closed down until the scene can be cleared.
