Well, there's a way to do brunch that is going to blow your mind. Ever had dim sum? Do you even know what that is? Allow me to explain.
It's a style of Chinese cuisine that is often served at brunch time. But it's more than just the food, it's a whole experience! The food is served in small steamer baskets that get rolled around by servers (well at least that's how I've seen it). But most important, it's freaking delicious!
And you can get Dim Sumย right here in Montreal. I'd highly suggest taking a break from your usual brunch meals of eggs and toast and trying out something new. You definitely won't regret it!ย
So here are 10 of the best placesย you can go in Montreal:
Bien Maison
This place is good for more than just their awesome dumplings. They also serve up an amazing dim sum! If you want to try it out for the first time, this is a great place to start. Their prices are great and so is their food.
China Town Kim Fung
One of the great things about this place is the service. The waiters are mostly bilingual so you'll have an easy time if you have any questions. It's located right in the middle of China Town so you know that you're eating some authentic stuff.
Bao Bao
What's great about this place is their buns! Their designs are absolutely adorable and on top of that, they look delicious. They specialize in baking here so you are sure to get your fix of Asian sweets.
Ruby Rouge
This restaurant has a huge "banquetlike" space that serves up amazing dim sum and delicious BBQ. Also found in the heart of China Town, Ruby Rouge is open every day, so no matter what your schedule looks like, you can make it here.
Maison Foo Lam
The prices here are extremely competitive, but one of the greatest things about this place is that it's downtown and there's parking! That's right you don't have to search for hours on the streets looking for somewhere to put your car. If that wasn't reason enough to check it out, the food definitely is.
Imperial
The modern decor here does make this place any less authentic. The staff is devoted to providing high-quality dim sum. I'll save you the planning, if you're craving Chinese food in the morning, get your butt over here and try out their food. You will love it.
Restaurant Sai Gwan
This hole-in-the-wall restaurant is small, but their quality is definitely not sub-par. Smaller places always have better stuff in my experience. They have an extensive menu here and they are sure not to disappoint.

This place can get really busy, but that's just a good sign, right? Brunch is the most important meal of the day, so you should start it off right. If I haven't sold you on Dim Sum by this point then you probably just don't like Chinese food.
