Yep, this year five Montreal restaurants have made it onto Open Table's top 100 hundred list. The list is created based on the "analysis of 500,000+ reviews of more than 2,500 restaurants across the country — all submitted by verified diners," according to a press release. Because the list is based on real diners' reviews, it includes everything from dumpling joints to trendy gastro pubs.
Below are the five restaurants in Montreal that made it onto the list – and if you're looking for something outside the big city, check out Daniel Vezina’s restaurant Laurie Raphael in Quebec City or Le Baccara at the Casino du Lac Leamy in Gatineau.
Up in the ever-trendy Mile End, Restaurant Île Flottante is known for its "original and playful menu," according to the press release, that allows you to order dishes as part of a three, five or seven course meal.
Right in the downtown core, Beatrice is known for "freshness, flavour, simplicity" served up in every dish, writes Open Table. Their menu is heavily inspired by Italian cuisine, with a refined and modern twist.
