In case you're curious the original seven wonders were: The Great Pyramid of Giza, the Hanging Gardens of Babylon, the Statue of Zeus at Olympia, the Temple of Artemis at Ephesus, the Mausoleum at Halicarnassus, the Colossus of Rhodes and the Lighthouse of Alexandria.
These days, there are still some wonders that exist all around us. That's why a few years back, CBC tried to figure out whist the 7 wonders of Canada were but their list was pretty terrible.
To give you an idea, #1 on the list was a Canoe. and I'm not talking about some kind of record setting giant canoe, or and ancient piece of Canada's history. They literally juts meant the invention of the canoe.
That's why they asked Canadians to vote for their own list of wonders:
1. Sleeping Giant
A formation which resembles a giant lying on its back.
2. Niagara Falls
The most famous and most visited waterfall in Canada.
3. Bay of Fundy
Known for having the highest tidal range in the world.
4. Nahanni National Park Reserve
The main attraction of this park is a set of four canyon waterfalls that reach 1,000 Northern Lights.
5. Northern Lights
A spectacular natural light display predominantly seen in the high latitude regions.
6. The Rockies
A system of multiple ranges of mountains which runs from the Canadian Prairies to the Pacific Coast.
