These Are The 7 Wonders Of Canada

Everyone has heard about the seven wonders of the world, but it's rare to find someone who can actually name them all. That's becuase  it's easy to forget about them, since they don't exist anymore. (all except the pyramid at Giza)

In case you're curious the original seven wonders were: The Great Pyramid of Giza, the Hanging Gardens of Babylon, the Statue of Zeus at Olympia, the Temple of Artemis at Ephesus, the Mausoleum at Halicarnassus, the Colossus of Rhodes and the Lighthouse of Alexandria.

These days, there are still some wonders that exist all around us. That's why a few years back, CBC tried to figure out whist the 7 wonders of Canada were but their list was pretty terrible.

To give you an idea, #1 on the list was a Canoe. and I'm not talking about some kind of record setting giant canoe, or and ancient piece of Canada's history. They literally juts meant the invention of the canoe.

That's why they asked Canadians to vote for their own list of wonders: 

1. Sleeping Giant

Thunder Bay

A formation which resembles a giant lying on its back.

2. Niagara Falls

Niagara River

The most famous and most visited waterfall in Canada.

3. Bay of Fundy

Atlantic Canada

Known for having the highest tidal range in the world.

4. Nahanni National Park Reserve

Northern Canada

The main attraction of this park is a set of four canyon waterfalls that reach 1,000 Northern Lights.

Northern Canada

A spectacular natural light display predominantly seen in the high latitude regions.

Western Canada

A system of multiple ranges of mountains which runs from the Canadian Prairies to the Pacific Coast.
