Not only is drinking and getting high a New Year's Eve tradition for most Montrealers, but it leaves some with zero memory of the beginning of 2017. Watching all the drunk fools out on New Year sure is funny, but those who like to remain sober want to enjoy the new year as well. So, I have composed a list of insane and unusual things you should do to celebrate 2017 this year while remaining sober.

You can be completely sober on New Year’s Eve and still have a blast because Montreal is that amazing! In this list, you can expect to find activities for everyone. So, get your sober friends and make 2017 great without forgetting what you did the night before! And hey, just remember that people who drink their minds out might just be doing it because that's the only way they can have fun. While those who are sober just have amazing personalities and have fun without anything!

This is a great way to relax and start 2017 off stress-free with zero alcohol.

There’s no better way to start a new year than being literally on top of the world. You obviously know that it’s beautiful in the summer but it’s actually drop dead gorgeous in the winter!

Other Activities:

  • Sleigh Rides
  • Snowshoeing

Not only is Mont-Tremblant village absolutely stunning for skiing, but there are a bunch of things you can do on New Years Eve if you don’t drink! I suggest heading to the Scandinave Spa in Mont-Tremblant (537 Montée Ryan, Mont-Tremblant, QC). It is about an hour and a half drive out of the city and is one seriously magical place. Afterwards, you can check out on of their fabulous restaurants or walk around and laugh at everyone who is drunk!
