7 Pretty Places To Take A Date To See Cherry Blossoms Trees In Montreal

Let love bloom.

Are cherry blossoms not the most gorgeous things you've ever seen in your whole life? Of course the are, friends. They're pink, gorgeous, and probably the ultimate sign of spring/summer.

Honestly, Montreal's cherry blossom situation is ace. You can see gorgeous pink trees (whether they be cherry blossoms, crabapple blossoms, or magnolia blossoms) throughout the city, no matter what borough you're in.

Still, there are a couple of spots that are sure to display the most gorgeous trees in Montreal, and have a perfect date ambiance, to boot. So, friends, grab your date and prepare for one seriously pretty sightseeing adventure.

1. Botanical Gardens

4101 Rue Sherbrooke E

Probably the quintessential Montreal spot to see nature in all of its beauty, the Montreal Botanical Gardens have your back if you're looking to take your date to admire some cherry/magnolia/crabapple blossoms. (Protip: the Botanical Gardens even have their own O-hanami picnics under the trees, in case you and bae are down to get super romantic).

Not only does this spot offer unparalleled gorgeous views of pretty pink trees, but they've also got tons of nature-related events going down, so if your S/O is down to get in touch with the world around them, you know where to go.

2. Île De La Visitation

Located in Sault-au-Récollet (represent!), L'Île de la Visitation is basically a huge nature park/island. It borders the Rivière des Prairies, and there are rapids, gorgeous waterfront views, and places to bike/jog/walk/picnic throughout.

And, of course, there happen to be some seriously prime views of incredibly pretty cherry blossoms. The park is pretty huge, so you'll be able to find the trees pretty much anywhere you go - and, for a super romantic date, stop of at the park's Bistro Des Moulins for a post-admiration meal.

3. Palais Des Congrès

Palais Des Congrès - and the little park next to it - have some of the most gorgeous cherry blossoms you'll see in the city.

Honestly, if you're hoping to go for a romantic, pink-petal filled stroll, then this is the place for you and your bae. The park looks like some kind of fantasy land, TBH, and if you guys are down to grab a quick bite? Montreal's Chinatown is just a hop, skip, and a step away.

4. Parc Jean-Drapeau

Montréal, QC H3C 4G8

Not only is Parc Jean-Drapeau home to a bunch of awesome date activities (like an amazingly huge bike path, the Montreal Casino, La Ronde, and many others), but it also happens to be one of the best spots in the city to gaze upon the mesmerizing beauty that are cherry blossom trees.

Mainly situated around Parc Jean-Drapeau's L'Homme statue, facing the water, this also happens to be a super romantic spot for you and your date to admire the scenery and enjoy a super cute picnic. Or, you know, whatever. Be creative. Rock that date, friends.

5. Downtown Montreal

Or, more specifically, on McGill College. The street median is decked out with gorgeous pink tulips and trees this year, making it a perfect urban spot to admire these magical trees.

And, although it's kind of different from the majority of spots on this list, in that you can't exactly admire the beauty up-close, it's still a super solid spot to take a date - especially if they love the hustle and bustle of Downtown Montreal. (Window shopping while copping stares at beautiful cherry blossom trees? Yeah. I'm totally there for that).

6. Ahuntsic Park

I might be a little bit biased about this place, considering I've spent way too much time here throughout my life, but Ahuntsic Park is highkey gorgeous.

A beautiful greenspace with an overall calm, chill vibe, there's (almost) nothing you and your date can't do here. Which, of course, includes admiring some cherry blossoms. Although these tend to bloom towards the end of May, once they do sprout, the park looks like it belongs in some kind of fantasy movie, TBH.

7. Quartier Des Spectacles

Quartier Des Spectacles is, without a doubt, one of the coolest places to take a date. There's pretty much always something awesome to do - like swinging on the famous musical swings, for example.

But the best part about the Quartier Des Spectacles? The pretty cherry blossoms growing in the area; so, the next time you and your date are making beautiful, swinging music, you can also gaze upon the beautiful, pink cherry blossoms in bloom with bae.
