Okay, no lie, being an alcohol connoisseur is expensive AF. Liquor isn't cheap; in fact, if you add a bottle of wine to your meal at any restaurant, you can pretty much rest assured that the bill will shoot up a surprising amount.
But thankfully, for those of us who do like to enjoy alcohol in a safe and responsible manner, there are a few spots in Montreal that can get you more than a little tipsy, and that won't break the bank at the same time.
1. Foufounes Electriques
Although the alcohol here is generally inexpensive, on Fridays, shots of vodka are $2.50.
Located on St. Laurent, Biftek is probably the best place to go to get yourself a little drunk for cheap. The vibe is fun, too, and they've got popcorn - which sounds unimportant, but trust, it makes all the difference.
3. Cafe Campus
Situated on Prince Arthur Street, Cafe Campus takes the best of a club and a bar and combines it into one seriously fun experience. For about $15, you can enjoy a whole bunch of shots.
4. Le Belmont
Drink prices here are super reasonable, and the vibe is incredibly upbeat. If you're the sort of person who loves crowds and having an extra good time, you'll love it here.
5. Le Saint-Elisabeth
Not only does this pub have one of the most gorgeous terrasses around, but for roughly $15-20, you can have an entire pitcher all. To. Yourself.
6. Blue Dog
A classic spot in Montreal for getting turnt AF and not spending all your money, you can never go wrong spending your night at Blue Dog. Their shots are particularly inexpensive.
7. Next Door Pub
Alright, Next Door Pub is one seriously fun spot to be. Not only does it have awesome vibes and awesome food, but the prices are super cheap - for about $15, you can get yourself a pitcher and let the good times roll.
Prices here are always super fair, but on Tuesdays, shots are $2.
10. Peel Pub
Probably the OG cheap drinking spot, Peel Pub offers dollar shots on Thursday nights and inexpensive pitchers.
11. Le Blind Pig
Two words: $3 beer. This neighbourhood pub knows how to properly price alcohol, and shell out a whole lot of fun.
