We all love a good basket of blueberries in the summer to start a refreshing day! However, sometimes we get a little unlucky at the grocery store or market. So, instead of inspecting every basket of blueberries  (like we all do) why not pick your own fresh ones!

Near the greater Montreal areas, there are multiple farms that offer blueberries  picking! It's a lot similar to apple picking, but instead of climbing trees, you're on your hunched over picking some superb berries. Blueberries  have a very brief season! In most of Canada they actually start in mid-July until mid-August. So, I suggest that you pick a farm ASAP, bring some friends, and  don't miss out on some yummy blueberries this summer 2017.


1. Anse Au Sable

Distance: 45 min.

Anse au Sable has been running since 1980 and focuses on fresh fruit with great service. They have blueberry picking from mid-June to mid-July and also sell great home-made products. They got freshness down packed and you should really check them out for some of their great blueberries.

2. Ferme D and M Sauriol

Since 2001, Ferme D and M Sauriol has been rocking the blueberry picking game! Not only can you go to pick your own blueberries, but if you happen to be on the lazy side, like me, then you can pick up some fresh blueberries that has already been picked by the farmers themselves.  This short drive is definitely worth it!

3. La Colline aux Bleuets

The blueberry picking season has just begun this July 18th at La Colline aux Bleuets! From 8:30 to 18:00, you can some to La Colline and pick some great blueberries from mid-July to mid-August. They literally have BASKETS full blueberries waiting to be picked.

4. Quinn Farm

Raspberries, Peas and Beans & Blueberries are in season at the moment. Open everyday from 10:00am to 4:00pm. It is the end of strawberry season, so picking is very slow! Cost to visit the farm: 5$* per person (everyone over the age of 2 years old) to visit the animal barn and play yard. Tractor rides will be every half hour. Baskets for picking; 8$ for 1.5L. You can mix all fruits and veggies available now in this basket.
