With the end of the school year rearing its head, you've no doubt got job prospects on the brain, even more so if you're graduating. Or you're not a student and just another member of the job-hungry horde of Montreal. Either way, this event may be perfect for you.
As part of Journée Carrières de l’École des sciences de la gestion de l’UQAM (or just "Careers Day"), a whole day of networking and recruiting is being set up, with over 35 companies looking for the next employee.
Advertised as a "speed-recruiting" event, job-seekers will get the chance to speak with multiple professionals and company recruiters and see if you're a solid candidate for the role they're looking to fill. Essentially, it's speed-dating, but for jobs.
The event organizers (UQÀM's student association and the ESG Career Management Centre) promise there are tons of employment opportunities to be found and jobs to be filled, with job assistance on-site as well.
All in all, this event looks like the perfect way to get your name out there and really get a sense of Montreal's professional employment opportunities, so essential for all (and aspiring) young professionals.
Careers Day ESG UQAM is being held at the university's Pavillon Judith-Jasmin (405 Saint Catherine E) from 11am to 4pm. For more details, head to the official event page here.
