Some huge news just came out this morning that's going to make Halloween fans very happy.
Montreal will be hosting it's first ever Halloween festival!
On October 27, 28 and 29 Place des Festival will be getting a creepy, haunted makeover as it prepares for 3 whole days of costumed celebrations.
According the old Montreal legends, there is an evil creature sleeping in the depths of the St. Lawrence River. And when we illuminated the Jacques Cartier Bridge, we woke it from it's slumber. Now it's coming back to terrorize Montreal during the last weekend of October.
There will be free entertainment, free activities, pyrotechnical artists, fire breathers, candle lighters, marionettes, visual artists, spooky tales, a carnival-like ambiance, face painters, a gothic choir, a funeral march, contests and 3 big events:
Friday, October 27, 6:30 p.m. to 11 p.m.
More than 40 skeletons, demons and diabolical creatures bearing fire will be there when the Trouble-Fête starts to stir. And once it is fully awake, Montrealers have no choice but to… celebrate, for better or for worse!
Saturday, October 28, 1 p.m. to 11 p.m.
The biggest zombie walk in Canada: over 10,000 zombies awakened by the Trouble-Fête will swarm the streets of Montréal!
Sunday, October 29, 12:30 p.m. to 5 p.m
The esplanade of Place des Arts will be transformed into a wizards' village complete with magic wand-making, a carrousel, face painting, magic potion-making and an enchanted forest!
