Few films are quite as classic as The Godfather. Iconic in every sense, the movie is truly a cinematic masterpiece, which is why people continue to rewatch  today, 44 years after its original release.

But now lovers of the film (and Godfather virgins alike) have the chance to watch the movie in an entirely new way, as The Godfather LIVE! heads into Place des Arts this weekend.

Projecting a digitally remastered version of the original English version (with French subtitles), the real showstopper of the event is how the film's original score will be performed by a full symphony orchestra on-stage right under the screen.

Honestly, as someone who's seen The Godfather numerous times, this event has me pretty jazzed. Not only do you get to see the film on a big screen like you would at a theatre, but you also get the added energy, ambiance, and the auditory splendour of having an orchestra perform the entire score.

Only in Montreal this weekend, The Godfather LIVE! will be showcased in Salle Wilfred-Pelletier at Place des Arts this weekend, specifically February 27th and 28th.
