Montreal's Atwater Market Is Transforming Into A Magical "Christmas Village"

Mulled wine, toasted marshmallows and holiday movies? Yes please!

Atwater Market is a staple in Montreal in October. You probably stopped by last month to pick up a pumpkin or some fall treats, and if not, you definitely saw one of your friends do it on social media.

With the winter season settling in on us, you may think that there's nothing left to enjoy at this outdoor marketplace. Well, think again.

Thanks to "Village de Noël de Montréal" you can enjoy this great corner of Montreal this winter too, as it is being completely transformed into Montreal's very own Christmas village.

Along with lots of holiday goods to purchase, there will also be plenty of free activities going on throughout the event like face painting, musical shows and even holiday movies being streamed for everyone to enjoy!

Instead of traditional booths, each vendor will occupy a small "chalet", really transforming this into an actual Christmas village! If you're a local artisan or business and you want your very own "chalet", you can rent one here.

The village will be open from December 7th until December 10th, as well as December 15th until December 17th and it will be located at Place du Marche on the corner of St-Ambroise and Atwater.

There will also be animations taking place along Rue Notre-Dame O. and Boulevard Monk.
