Montreal's Saint-Denis Street Is Turning Into A 1km Long Orchard
Finally, you don't have to leave the city to go apple picking.
It's finally almost fall time in Montreal, and one of the best things about fall is being able to go apple picking. But why should you have to travel out to the countryside to get some delicious fresh fruit? Well, this September you won't have to because Saint-Denis is going to be home to a 1km long orchard.
Not only will there be a plethora of delicious produce for you to choose from, but there will be hundreds of free activities. You can pick yourself some free apples, get some free fresh-pressed juice, participate in workshops, and even enter a photo contest for a chance to win $500. There will also be small shops set up along the street for you to pop into, and lots of food for you to purchase.
The orchard will run from September 4-6, so you have a few days to get your fill of fun, and it would be a pretty great way to spend your long weekend.
