There's no shortage of old building being transformed into beautiful condos in Montreal. When these renovations happen, they usually they tend to keep certain elements of the previous construction and blend it with new and modern designs.

This time however the living space has been completely remodeled from top to bottom. They've taken away all the traditional elements that normally survive these kinds of renovation such as the old wood beams and the exposed brick walls. You'd never know that this amazing contemporary loft created by the design and architecture firm ActDesign was actually a 100 year old refrigerator warehouse.

The loft is covered in gorgeous pieces of modern art from the homeowners private collection. The whole space is open concept and wraps around a big glass walled office that provides seclusion without any visual obstructions. There are a number of blue neon glowing lights spread throughout the loft that hug the ceilings and floors to give it a more modern feel. There is also a gorgeous modern bathroom with a huge shower room featuring his and hers shower heads and a large concrete pillar.

This construction was originally featured on Decoist.com and all photos are courtesy of Alexandre Parent - Studio Point de Vue.
