At this stage in the game, if you've heard of Quebec at all, then chances are very high that you've heard of Quebec's Hotel De Glace.
It's been around for over a decade, and it's been impressing people for just as long. But it's also remained relatively unchanged, especially considering what it's about to undergo.
The Hotel De Glace has been acquired by Vacanes Valcartier, the same folks who brought you this ingenious wintertime indoor water park.
Much more than a slight shift in management, Quebec's Ice Hotel is going to be completely revamped.
First of all, the hotel is changing location to Village Valcartier (1860 Boulevard Valcartier, Saint-Gabriel-de-Valcartier, QC, not too far away from the indoor water park.
And, according to the Village Vacances Valcartier website, the owner is investing $70 million into totally revamping the hotel. There'll be additional equipment and a unique design, the likes of which has never been seen before.
I, for one, am excited AF. The Ice Hotel is notorious for not only being gorgeous and unique, but for being seriously fun, too. I mean, drinking out of solid ice cubes in a legit igloo? Um, sign me TF up, thanks.
The Hotel De Glace will be opening up as of December, and will be open until March.
