This is the oldest known photo ever taken in Canada. It was shot at Niagara Falls in 1840 using long exposure photography. According to Complex, the picture was taken by Hugh Lee Pattinson, a British businessman who was on a trip in Canada. The photo was later donated to the Newcastle University Library by Pattinson's family.
