Feux Follets Montreal is an immersive, giant lantern festival taking place in Parc Jean-Drapeau through October 31, 2019. This means this is your last week to experience this first-of-its-kind event that features towering, illuminated structures to create a world of its own.

The event also incorporates 3D holographic animations, including a giant water screen, a drone show and shadows of musicians that may or may not be a figment of our imagination. A Chinese costume parade animates the scene.

On Halloween, Feux Follet is hosting a grand finale event to close out the season. Makeup artists will be on site to decorate participants' faces in festive colours before a 2,000-drone show fills the sky above the park — something event organizers claim has never been done before in Montreal.

Before going, participants should be aware that this event involves some walking outdoors, so make sure you have dressed appropriately for the weather. Visitors will embark on an interactive journey that was designed to be a truly immersive cultural experience within our city.

Thanks to a little bit of imagination and a lot of technology, Feux Follets have been able to create magic, which is a gift for both our senses and imagination.

This is Feux Follets' final hurrah and they have worked hard to make it an unforgettable evening that allows participants to witness a story come to life through lights, shadows, and holographic designs.

If the weather on the 31st is not co-operating, the soirée will be postponed and will take place on November 1, 2019, which is great news, since there was the potential for snow in the forecast...

Next year, the theme will be inspired by the Mexican “Día de lo Muertos” celebration. This means that this is truly your last chance to see the Chinese-inspired show in Montreal, which truly is marvellous.
